The ever popular outdoor movies are once again returning to Briarcliff! Can you guess what we're showing?!

The suspense is over, and we won't make you wait any longer. Below are the movies and their corresponding dates. 

June 3: Moana
June 10: Top Gun
June 17: The Jungle Book
July 8: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
July 15: Finding Dory
July 22: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

All movies will start at 8:45 p.m./dusk at Mulberry Lake across from The Village at Briarcliff. They are FREE to attend - all you have to bring are blankets, lawn chairs and perhaps a picnic dinner. Have you heard the news?! The Minions are coming to Briarcliff this Saturday!

Enjoy a FREE showing of "Minions" (2015) PG at 8:45 p.m./dusk on Saturday, June 25 at Mulberry Lake across from The Village at Briarcliff. Minions Kevin, Stewart, and Bob are off on a big journey to find a new boss. They are eventually recruited by Scarlet Overkill, the world's first woman super villain, who hatches a plot to take over the planet.

Before the movie, come by our Get Into Character, By the Lake event from 3-7 at Mulberry Lake. Kids are encouraged to dress up and interact with their favorite characters from Disney, Ninja Turtles and of course, the Minions! There will also be face painting, bouncy houses, balloon artists, caricaturist and more! And what's a great outdoor event without grilled hamburgers and hot dogs?!

Everything is going well until the park's newest attraction--a genetically modified giant stealth killing machine--escapes containment and goes on a killing spree.

Briarcliff Trails of Our Community is underway with our next big restoration project! We recently removed all the thick vines and brush on an historic chimney located behind The Ravello Condominiums in Briarcliff. This chimney was a part of the hunting lodge of L.T. Martin, owner of Martin Printing in Downtown Kansas City. A 1950s street map locates the lodge on Weston Street. The old Weston Street started at the fork of Briarcliff Road and what is now Claymont Drive. All that remains now is the fireplace and stonework outlining a garage, and a staircase to a lower garage just off Platte Road (U.S. 71) to Riverside. Below are before and after pictures of the chimney during the vine removal process. We would like to thank Eden Tree Services for their impeccable work! We ask that you respect the privacy of The Ravello property, and view the chimney from 9 Highway. 

Enjoy a FREE showing of "Frozen" (2013) PG at 8:45 p.m./dusk on Saturday, August 1 at Mulberry Lake across from Briarcliff Village. The newly crowned Queen Elsa has the power to turn things into ice, and accidentally curses her home in an infinite winter. Her sister Anna sets out on a dangerous and mysterious journey with a mountain man, his playful reindeer, and a snowman to bring back her sister to reverse the curse.
