Next time you're driving through Briarcliff or walking on the trails and you notice people cleaning and sprucing up, then it's probably us! Briarcliff Trails of Our Community has partnered with the Missouri Department of Transportation with their Adopt-A-Highway program, and the Kansas City Parks and Recreation Department with their Adopt-A-Trail program. Signs are posted at all the areas we maintain which are located at the entrance and exit ramps of Hwy 169 and Briarcliff Pkwy, the Briarcliff Greenway, and the west, non-residential end of Briarcliff Pkwy.

Since 2009 we and our kind partners have picked up more than 580 bags of trash and 3,598 illegally posted signs along our highway and roadways entering the Briarcliff community. We adopted the trails in June 2013 and currently take care of clearing litter and overgrown brush and limbs. We've always had a solid support group, and since our new signs were put up, we have noticed more and more people taking pride in cleaning up the area. Fortunately, Briarcliff residents already do a great job in keeping our streets and trails looking pristine, but the continued efforts of our generous community is what will keep our community looking its best for years to come.
