Community Projects
Volunteers throughout Briarcliff have stepped up to make our community an even better place to call home. These projects are small, simple gestures with big, noticeable results. Thank you to everyone who volunteered and are continuing to give back to our community! Your efforts do not go unnoticed!
*Boy Scout Troop 271 and several Briarcliff residents added a bench to the nature trail. The bench was left on the path of the old trail in the middle of the woods, and therefore was uninhabitable. Volunteers moved the bench to the current trail for users to enjoy.
*In Summer 2010, a school vegetable garden was built behind Briarcliff Elementary. The garden was created to educate students about the plant cycle, photosynthesis and other earth science lessons. The students plant the vegetables, take care of them as they grow, and eat them in the cafeteria. All of the vegetables grown are served at lunch.
*Several residents noticed the sidewalk along Briarcliff Parkway was overtaken by branches, brush and vines. So, they got together one morning and trimmed everything back so people could actually use the sidewalk.
