Briarcliff Nature Trail Phase II and III
Thanks to PIAC money received from Kansas City, the Briarcliff Nature trail was lengthened more than 1,600 feet through the woods. The trail can now be easily accessed by residents at several new access points at Briarcliff Elementary, Main St. and 40th St. Phase II of the project connects the trail from the woods to Main St. A sidewalk was also added that hooks up to the trail and surrounds the Briarcliff Linear Park. Phase III added a new access point of the trail next to the baseball diamond and soccer field at Briarcliff Elementary. It winds through the woods connecting to the existing trail and all the way to 40th St.
Thank you to the Kansas City Parks and Recreation Department, Landscape Architect Richard Allen and resident Tim Johnston for constructing a plan to enhance the nature trail for residents. We look forward to expanding the trail to take advantage of the entire Briarcliff Linear Park.
