Saturday, June 9 was a truly special day in Briarcliff! More than 50 families came together for a Community Build to construct a large new piece of playground equipment at Briarcliff Elementary. Briarcliff residents Jason and Katie Egli wanted to create a memorial for their son, Benjamin who passed away last summer. In partnership with the Briarcliff PTA and Briarcliff Trails of Our Community, this project developed that will touch the lives of so many kids and students of the Briarcliff community. Volunteers worked hard for almost five hours constructing the equipment, and spreading mulch around the new and existing part of the playground. Thank you so much to everyone who donated their time and energy to this heartwarming project. There will be a dedication ceremony this fall once the memorial plaque is in place to honor Benjamin. |
